Columbia & Caldwell Parish Ramble - Saturday October 22, 2022

 

Explore a new part of Louisiana’s past in northeast Louisiana! Join friends and family for a day of touring historic sites in and around Columbia and Caldwell Parish, Louisiana on Saturday, October 22, 2022.   All registrations include an informational booklet and boxed lunch.  Transportation between sites is not included, carpooling is encouraged.  LTHP event attendees are to follow any active CDC and Health Department protocols to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

  • 10:00- 10:30, Welcome
  • 10:30-12:00, Sites in downtown Columbia and Columbia Hill Cemetery
  • 1200 – 1:00, Schepis Museum (Louisiana Folklife Exhibit) and Lunch – Presentation of 2022 Louisiana Preservation Awards –  Mocktails at Watermark Grill and View Columbia Mural 
  • 1:00 – 1:45, Martin Home Place Museum
  • 1:45 – 2:30, Graves Homeplace
  • 2:30 – 3:15, Synope Plantation
  • Explore sites on your own afterwards
