The Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation is now accepting session proposals for the 2020 Statewide Preservation Conference. The Conference will take place on Thursday April 16 and Friday April 17 with breakout sessions on Friday April 17. The Conference will be held in Monroe & West Monroe.
This year’s three main tracks focus on the following themes:
1) Main Street Revitalization
2) Storytelling & Interpretation
3) Social Justice & Preservation
We are looking for engaging speakers and presentations that highlight historic sites and communities showing how partnerships, unique approaches, trial & errors, and more that make preservation and placemaking approachable at all levels. Your topic and presentation should inspire and educate attendees with ideas that they can take back home and apply to their communities.
Please answer all questions clearly and completely. Information provided here will be used to build program descriptions. Please note that some applicants/presenters may be paired with other applicants/presenters to broaden content depending on applications received.
