Individually listed on the National Register, the Kerner House is repre­sentative of the Greek Revival & Itali­anate styles. The property has become a site of overgrown vegetation and rot. It is also located within a local historic district. Community leaders hope to work together to clean up and restore the property as a showcase to their neigh­borhood’s history.
