Moreauville – 1856 Amet-Lougarre House

Moreauville – 1856 Amet-Lougarre House

House - LA

The 1856 Amet-Lougarre House was home of Moreauville’s first mayor and associated with several prominent Avoyelles Parish families. The side-gabled house sits on a generous lot and has been modified over the years. Ornate railings and millwork were added to the front of the house in the late 19th century. Three dormers were added to the front during the first half of the 20th century, and a room was added off the kitchen and living room at the northwest corner during the 1970s. An early garage sits at the back of a long driveway.

The Amet-Lougarre House will be sold as-is, with preservation easements to insure it will be maintained into the future. Contact Brian Davis at 318.267.5220 or for more details, photos or to schedule a showing.
