Fall 2021 Ramble - Bogalusa & Washington Parish - POSTPONED

Explore a new part of Louisiana’s past! Join friends and family for a day of touring historic sites in and around Bogalusa and Washington Parish, Louisiana on Saturday, October 16, 2021.   All registrations include an informational booklet and boxed lunch.  Transportation between sites is not included, carpooling is encouraged.  

TENTATIVE Agenda & Tour Schedule:

  • 9:30, Check-in and registration
  • 10:00, Welcome 
  • 10:15-10:55, Sacred Spaces
  • 11:00-11:25, Bob Hicks House, includes historic marker unveiling
  • 11:30-12:40, Around Town: Coca-Cola, Railroad Depot, Greater Ebenezer Church, City Hall
  • 12:45-1:30, Lunch Break at Goodyear-Penton Estate
  • 1:40-2:10, Sullivan House
  • 2:20-3:10, Studio in the Country 
Following the Ramble, Bogalusa Historic Cultural District will be hosting a free concert and street festival.
